Getting Started
Is Thea and Faye's Amazing Adventure really free?
Yes — every core maths and English game stays free with no sign-up. Optional Premium Packs (Parent Pass and School license) unlock extras such as reading comprehension, NAPLAN practice packs, Times Tables Master, Daily Quest, and Classroom Challenge. Start a 7-day trial or enter a license code on the Premium Packs page.
What is included in Premium Packs?
Parent Pass unlocks reading comprehension, NAPLAN Year 3 and Year 5 timed packs, Times Tables Master, and Daily Quest on this device. School licenses also unlock Classroom Challenge codes for teachers. Core games never move behind a paywall.
Do children need an account to play?
No. Children can start playing right away. No sign-up, no email, no password. Just open the site and pick a game. Progress like stars and badges is saved on the device. Premium unlocks are also saved on the device. No personal information is ever collected from children.
How do I start?
Go to the homepage and pick an age group. This shows games for your child's level. Choose a game, pick a difficulty, and start playing. It takes less than a minute to get going. For Premium games, open Premium Packs first and apply a code or start the trial.
Which age group should my child use?
Start with the group that matches your child's school year. If the games feel too easy, try the next group up. If they are too hard, go down one level. Children can switch between groups at any time.
What difficulty level should we start on?
Always start with Easy. This helps children learn how each game works. Once they earn three stars on Easy, try Medium. Once they earn three stars on Medium, try Hard.
About the Games
What subjects and topics are covered?
Maths games cover addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, algebra, order of operations, number recognition, and logic puzzles. English games cover sight words, spelling, word scrambles, grammar, vocabulary, rhyming, antonyms, fill-in-the-blanks, and word search puzzles.
How many games are on the site?
There are over 100 games in total. These cover eight categories of maths and English skills. Each game also has three difficulty levels, so there is always a new challenge to try.
Are the games aligned with the school curriculum?
Yes. Every game covers skills taught in school. The topics match national curricula for primary and early secondary education. We focus on the core skills that teachers say matter most.
How does the star system work?
At the end of each game, children earn one, two, or three stars based on their score. Nine or ten correct answers earns three stars. Six to eight correct earns two stars. Three to five correct earns one star. Stars build up over time and can be seen on the main page.
What are the adventure games?
Treasure Quest, Monster Battle, and City Builder are special featured games. They have more complex gameplay. In Treasure Quest, children explore islands and unlock treasures. In Monster Battle, they battle monsters by answering questions. In City Builder, they earn coins to build a city. All three use maths questions to progress.
What if my child gets an answer wrong?
The game shows the wrong answer in orange. A kind message appears. The game then moves to the next question. Children are never told off for wrong answers. The aim is to learn, not to feel bad.
What if my child finds all difficulty levels too easy?
Try the next age group up. If a Grade 2 student finds the Grades 2–3 games too easy, the Grades 4–5 games will give more challenge. There is no limit on which age group children can try.
For Parents
How is my child's progress tracked?
Stars, scores, and badges are saved on the device in the browser. This information stays on the device and is never sent to us. If you clear the browser data or use a different device, progress starts fresh.
Can my child use this without me watching?
Yes. There is no chat or messaging. Custom cursors and free-draw stay on the device. Suggestions are reviewed by staff. A challenge code only compares scores — no friend lists. For children under 7, sit with them for the first sessions.
Does this work on tablets and phones?
Yes. The site works on tablets, Chromebooks, laptops, and desktop computers. Most games work best on a tablet or larger screen. An internet connection is needed to load the games.
How long should my child play each day?
Ten to fifteen minutes a day is ideal. Short daily practice is more effective than a long session once a week. Children remember more from frequent, short practice.
Can I use this alongside homework?
Yes. The games are designed to support school learning. Many parents use the site to practise topics their child is currently covering in class. Ask your child's teacher which topics they are working on, then match the games to those topics.
For Teachers
Can this be used in a classroom?
Yes. Many teachers use the games for warm-ups, revision, station rotations, and early finisher activities. No accounts or setup are needed. Students just open the website and play. See our Teachers Guide for full ideas.
Does it work on school Chromebooks?
Yes. The site works in any modern web browser. No downloads or plug-ins are needed. It has been tested on Chromebooks, iPads, Windows laptops, and Mac computers.
Can I use this to differentiate within a class?
Yes. Direct stronger students to Hard mode or the next age group. Give students who need more support Easy mode. The same game can serve the whole class at different difficulty levels. No student needs to know another is on a different level.
Is there a cost for school use?
No. The site is free for everyone including schools. There are no licences, no per-student fees, and no subscription plans. All games are free for all users.
Safety and Privacy
Is the site safe for children?
Yes and messaging stay off. Challenge codes compare quiz scores only. Custom drawings stay on the device. Suggestions go to staff for review. No personal signup is required.
Does the site collect data from children?
No. We do not collect names, emails, or any personal information from children. Anonymous usage data (like which games are popular) helps us improve the site. This data is not linked to any individual child.
Are there advertisements on the site?
The site may show ads to fund the free content. We work with ad networks that offer family-safe ad categories. We check ads regularly and report anything inappropriate. If you see a concerning ad, please contact us right away.
How do I report a bug or problem?
Visit our Contact page and send us a message. Tell us which game was affected, which browser you were using, and what happened. We read every message and fix bugs as quickly as we can.
