Timed Multiplication Challenge
Multiply against the clock
Timed Multiplication Challenge is a free online multiplication game designed for children ages 7 to 9 and ages 9 to 11. Players solve multiplication problems using single-digit numbers, receiving instant feedback after each answer. The game presents ten questions in a multiple-choice format, making it accessible for children who are still building confidence with multiplication. A countdown timer adds an extra layer of challenge, encouraging children to think quickly and accurately. Each correct answer earns points toward a star rating, motivating children to replay and improve. Progress is tracked locally so children can see their improvement over time without needing an account.
Select a difficulty level to begin. The game presents a multiplication problem on screen with four possible answers. Tap or click the answer you think is correct. A green highlight means you got it right, and an orange highlight shows the question was tricky. After ten questions, you will see your score and a star rating. Try to earn three stars by getting nine or ten answers correct. You can play again as many times as you like to improve your score.
Multiplication is a cornerstone skill that unlocks fractions, percentages, algebra, and many real-world applications. Children who develop quick recall of multiplication facts perform better across all areas of maths. This game helps children in early primary school and upper primary students build that automatic recall through engaging, repeated practice with instant feedback.
This game is designed for children in Grades 2-3 (ages 7-9), Grades 4-5 (ages 9-11). The questions are calibrated to match the skills typically taught at this level, making it suitable for classroom use, homework support, or independent practice at home. Parents and teachers can use this game as a structured learning activity that rewards effort and tracks progress.
